Usher announced new album release recently as he took to social media to share the thrilling news.

The announcement coincided with Usher’s confirmation as the headlining act for next year’s Super Bowl Halftime Show. The show is scheduled for February 11, 2024, at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.

NFL, in partnership with Apple Music, officially disclosed this news on Sunday (September 24). This created a wave of anticipation among music enthusiasts and football fans alike.

However, Usher expressed his gratitude and enthusiasm for this monumental opportunity, declaring…

“It’s an honor of a lifetime to finally check a Super Bowl performance off my bucket list. I can’t wait to bring the world a show unlike anything else they’ve seen from me before. Thank you to the fans and everyone who made this opportunity happen. I’ll see you real soon.”

JAY-Z, the NFL’s live music entertainment strategist, also chimed in on Usher’s upcoming performance. He praised him as the “ultimate artist and showman.”

He shared his admiration, saying…

“Usher is the ultimate artist and showman. Ever since his debut at the age of 15, he’s been charting his own unique course. Beyond his flawless singing and exceptional choreography, Usher bares his soul. His remarkable journey has propelled him to one of the grandest stages in the world. I can’t wait to see the magic.”

Although, Usher made a splash on Instagram by sharing a poster. It featured a picture of him wearing a gold grill that reads “LVIII,” symbolizing Super Bowl 58.

It also revealed the release date of his new album, “Coming Home”. It is set to coincide with the Super Bowl Halftime Show on February 11.

The album “Coming Home” is expected to feature the hit single “Good Good” with collaborations from 21 Savage and Summer Walker.

Fans are eagerly awaiting this release, which Usher describes as a story open to interpretation, promising to connect with people in various ways.

Before Usher’s Super Bowl halftime performance, other artists like Rihanna, Dr. Dre, Eminem, Snoop Dogg and Kendrick Lamar, have also headlined the Super Bowl. 50 Cent, Mary J. Blige, and The Weeknd are also on the list.

Previously in 2011 Usher graced the Super Bowl stage as a special guest. This happened during the Black Eyed Peas’ 2011 performance. But this will be his first time headlining the prestigious event.

During April, Usher hinted at the possibility of performing at the Super Bowl during an interview with Access Hollywood.
