Two hip-hop greats are back again with heads together as the team up for something huge for fans to witness them squash beef. Walking back to their relationship, amahiphop could recall Kanye’s first shot when he took drake off his “All of the Night” from his My beautiful Dark twisted fantasy. An unreleased verse later circulated online which Drake was critically acclaimed for.
Time went on but Drake was after surpassing his Idol. You could call it a dream or a nightmare but Drake was really after getting bigger than Kanye whom he called his Idol at a time. Drake later came out to tell the Source back in 2011 how much he liked Kanye as a kid. He went ahead calling him a Friend but competitor saying he wants to surpass everything Kanye ever accomplished. In 2016, Drake mentioned Kanye in his new song, Summer sixteen where he referenced Kanye’s pool. “Now I got a house in LA, now I got a bigger pool than Ye,” he rapped pointing out. “And look, man, Ye’s pool is nice, mine’s just bigger’s what I’m saying.” This prompted a response from Kanye saying he had three and its good to know about that.
Drake also had a famous fallout with his rival pusha T which also added more fuel to the fire between him and ye. Pusha T’s been calling out drake for using ghostwriters and both of them have been sending shots to themselves on tracks from pusha T’s “Don’t F*ck With Me” freestyle to Drake’s “Two Birds, One Stone” where he refered to pusha T as a priviledge kid.
Kanye seem to be quiet not until his friend pusha told the world about drake’s son, Adonis who he claimed to have been abandoned by drake. “Your father walked away at five, hell of a dad thing, you are hiding a child, let that boy come home/ Deadbeat mothaf*cka, playin’ border patrol/Adonis is your son”, he rapped in the track “The Story of Adidon”.
While the Drake Pusha T fued was till on, Kanye took Twitter to call out drake for being fake as wrestling as he shared screenshots of drake in his Dms asking for a clearance to a track “say what’s real” which is a remake to Kanye’s “Say you will” in 2009. The screenshot also had Ye asking for Drake’s apology for “mentioning the 350s and trying to take food out of your idols kids mouths” stating that drake shouldn’t go through people but come in person.

Kanye west later went on leaking Drake’s private home address just because he felt like doing it. Although it wasn’t fanny, drake responding to ye with a video of him laughing at what Kanye did. Fast forwarding 2021, rumors had that Drake seemed to be dating Kim, Kanye west’s wife just after they filed for a divorce. The rumors went wild and drove fans crazy especially for Drake’s confidence. Drake later cleared the rumors when he was asked if it was true by responding, “Obviously not”.

Recently, September was hot as the two artist had their albums dropping the same month. Fans where waiting for both diss tracks and who’s album would sell more as Kanye Is a acknowledged billionaire with a networth of over 9$ billion and Drake is not only known for selling records but also referred to as the GOAT. Kanye west’s album, Donda had diss tracks like “OK Ok” where he refered to drake as a betrayer. “OK, now they got me, wanna rap again / Heal the wound and then you stab me in my back again”.
Drake have hot with a chart toping album, Certified lover boy where he called out Kanye’s brand, Yezzy on a track 7am on brides path. “Told you I’m aimin’ straight for the head. Now they “Amen” and “Please” I can give a f**k about who designing your sneakers and tees. Had somebody put you on a guilt and you play with my seed”.he rapped.
As weeks passed by, everything began to end as Kanye west posted a picture of him and Drake together with a dove emoji as caption which signified peace. This happened after a video of Kanye was shared online talking on ending the long term beef. In the video shared by J. Prince, Kanye said “This is Ye and J Prince. I’m making this video to address the ongoing back and forth between myself and Drake. Both me and Drake have taken shots at each other and it’s time to put it to rest.” He later went on asking drake for a meeting.

“I’m asking Drake on Dec. 7 to join me on stage as a special guest to share the two biggest albums of the year, live in Los Angeles, with the ultimate purpose to free Larry Hoover. I believe this event will not only bring awareness to our cause, but prove to people everywhere how much more we can accomplish when we lay our pride to the side and come together.” He said.
Just very recently, The two GOATS have announced a concert, “Free Larry Hoover” which is scheduled to take place on December 9th at the L.A. Coliseum. The concert is to raise awareness and support for Larry Hoover and the cause of prison and sentencing reform. According to Ye, the concert is to Prove to People Everywhere How Much More We Can Accomplish When We Lay Our Pride Aside and Come Together.

Hip hop seem to be ending the year again in a positive way with Kanye west calling a truce. Drake is now one of the best selling rappers in the world and also referred to as GOAT as most fans have compared him to Micheal Jackson. Kanye west is now a Forbes acclaimed billionaire with over 9$ billion dollars networth. Both of them seem to be at great places and have had great accomplishments over the years.
