NBA YoungBoy has already completed one project this year, but he has now revealed the specifics of his upcoming album.

The rapper from Baton Rouge announced on Instagram over the weekend that I Just Got a Lot on My Shoulders is the name of his upcoming album.

He also shared the cover art with his 2.5 million followers, showing him standing in front of a red backdrop, decked out in red sneakers, white slacks, a red jacket, and a red hat.

On Sunday, March 17, he merely captioned the photo, “I just got a lot on my shoulder [top hat emoji]?/?/24.”

Earlier this month, NBA YoungBoy released Compliments of Grave Digger Mountain, his latest effort that served as a collection for his Never Broke Again label.

He, Quando Rondo, BBG Baby Joe, Lil Dump, Herm, Dej RoseGold, Vontina, Ddawg, WhoGangDee, and Meechy Baby were all featured in the body of work.

After finishing his contract with Atlantic Records in 2022, YoungBoy released a variety of albums in 2023, including I Rest My Case, Don’t Try This at Home, Richest Opp, and Decided 2. All of these releases were made on Motown.

NBA YoungBoy claimed in a Complex interview from last year that he had integrated himself into a “demonic” music industry.

“I learned it’s a demonic industry that I chose to be a part of,” he said. “So it’s like, I accept it. I run with it. But don’t be a dummy at the same time. You gotta understand, they’re using me as entertainment and this shit becomes self-destruction too. ‘Cause I ain’t an entertainer.”
