Justin Bieber is the latest artist who just sold his music catalog for the sum of $200 Million, living it to a third-party company that will be benefiting from some of his music right alone

Blackstone-backed Hipgnosis Songs Capital, Hipgnosis confirmed the sold out on Tuesday. Just after several rumours that surfaced online about the Justin Bieber selling his music right, it has now been official.

Meanwhile, Justin Bieber music publishing and recorded music catalog is being handled by Blackstone-backed Hipgnosis Songs Capital, and the report also surfaced on Variety.

Hipgnosis Songs Capital bought Justin Bieber music right at a higher rate, which is the biggest purchase the company has experienced so far. Before, it was a rumour, not it has become fact.

The deal covers Bieber’s entire back catalog, in other words, nearly 300 songs released before December 31st 2021. It includes his publishing rights, the lucrative right to his masters and neighbouring rights. On the deal, Scooter Braun said the following:

“When Justin made the decision to make a catalogue deal we quickly found the best partner to preserve and grow this amazing legacy was Merck [Mercuriadis] and Hipgnosis. For over a decade now Justin Bieber has entertained us and moved us with some of the biggest songs in the world. I’m so proud of him and all those involved over the years in helping amass this incredible body of work. Justin is truly a once in a generation artist and that is reflected and acknowledged by the magnitude of this deal.”

The selling of Music rights has become one of the major ways artists make money. Last week, Dr. Dre is also on the move to sell his music catalog. Some high-profile artists who have sold out the music catalog include Taylor swift, Justin Timberlake and more other artists who recently sold their music catalog back in 2022.

Justin Bieber has not released any music this year. Hopefully, he is making a new plan for new catalog. He might release a new album this year as fans are looking forward it.
