J.Cole Hits on Drake in Future “We Still Don’t Trust You”

J. Cole has been accused of “switching up” on Drake by featuring on the latest album from Future and Metro Boomin, “We Still Don’t Trust You” who are perceived as rivals of the Six gods.

The follow-up to the hit single We Don’t Trust You from last month, We Still Don’t Trust You, was released on Friday, April 12, and has a surprise Cole appearance on the song “Red Leather.”

The Dreamville CEO boasts about his legacy on the R&B-infused song, saying, “2I can’t stop right now, they gon’ remember me forever/ My narrative is more intelligent, and my similes are superior. My energy was never focused on the hardest n-gga crap. Just a conscious rapper ready to fuck an n-gga bitch was what I was.

While considering the idea of monogamy, the married father of two also mentions fellow rapper and OnlyFans celebrity Rubi Rose.

“Drinking so much alcohol for these hicks like we McLovin’ and wondering, ‘Could I really be with one woman?'”/ He spits, “Hmm, I think so. But it’s hard when you’re at the freak show with your dogs. Thinking I could bag Rubi Rose with a keystroke. Ego, ask yourself if that’s going to bring you peace.”

While J. Cole doesn’t directly address the current controversy involving himself, Drake, and Kendrick Lamar, many interpreted his appearance on the album as a betrayal of Drake, considering that on its predecessor, both Future and Kendrick attacked the Canadian hitmaker.

We Still Don’t Trust You, which features more jabs against Drizzy from A$AP Rocky and The Weeknd, only serves to exacerbate the situation.

“J Cole Joining the Opps now? The change is absurd,” a user commented on X (previously Twitter).
