Rema Breaks New Record; “Calm Down” Remix Hit 1bn streams on Spotify
Africans are good at making music but when it comes to Nigeria they are the best. We have a lot of them Wizkid, Davido, Burna Boy and more. Rema one of the Mavin’s Records resident singers is now sitting at the top of Spotify as Calm Down featuring Selena Gomez hit one billion.

This is a huge milestone because none of the other top African artists have made this the first time African artists hit a billion streams on Spotify. This has become a testament to Rema’s artistry and global appeal.
Rema’s “Calm Down” was officially released last year and it’s getting more views on YouTube. While Spotify has ranked the song as the first African song to hit 1 Billion, sooner or later it will also achieve such milestone on YouTube and other Platforms.
The remix of (Baby “Calm Down”), though is the track that changed everything which Gomez is always proud of. It came into existence the same year just after the first version was released. Calm Down remix is also doing well not only on Spotify but also on Billboard.
