But the fact is that Lizzo didn’t release this song to hurt anyone though she wasn’t mindful, like she just drop a song for fun. Lizzo Grrrls came to existence same this year. She dropped her single Grrrls on past Friday and she has received some feelings from her fans.

Grrrls is one of the song from Lizzo unreleased album, Special. It’s a cool song that shows how consistently enjoy with her friends, they support each other’s back. Literally a playful song though unbeknownst to her some people weren’t a fan at the moment she released the song.

So what really made her fans to get angry. Well, there was something that went wrong with the lyrics. Some words used on that song was hurtful until she pulled it off. Her fans found it ableist and incredibly offensive. Check it out below.

“Hold my bag, bitch, Hold my bag. Do you see this sh*t? I’mma spazz.” The word spazz to most folks who have listened to song, they clarified it as a derogatory to people with cerebral palsy, a condition also known as “spastic diplegia.” 

Meanwhile, people who are more concerned about the song wasn’t happy they immediately request her to change the lyrics or better of remove it. Lizzo Grrrls hurtful lyrics has been replaced and she as well apologized for hurting people with her lyrics.

“Your new song makes me pretty angry + sad. ‘Spaz’ doesn’t mean freaked out or crazy. It’s an ableist slur. It’s 2022. Do better,” this is what some said about the song on twitter.

“As someone who champions women, plus size people and others whom society treats poorly, Lizzo preaches inclusivity and should do better,” as another fan added.

The above concerns was what made Lizzo to change the lyrics and has apologized: “It’s been brought to my attention that there is a harmful word in my new song “GRRRLS”,” a statement on Twitter from the “Truth Hurts” singer began. “Let me make one thing clear: I never want to promote derogatory language. As a fat black woman in America, I’ve had many hurtful words used against me so I overstand the power words can have (whether intentionally or in my case, unintentionally). I’m proud to say there’s a new version of GRRRLS with a lyric change. This is the result of me listening and taking action. As an influential artist I’m dedicated to being part of the change I’ve been waiting to see in the world. xoxo Lizzo.”

She changed the lyrics from Spazz to “Do you see this sh*t, hold me back.” and fans were back to happy. Lizzo also made appearance on met gala 2022 with expensive worrisome fashion. As for now, we are waiting for her new album special album to hit streaming. She released Grrrls to keep her fans listening.
