Lil Durk will Not Diss Dead Rappers Again
If you have streamed Lil Durk’s 7220 album then you must have noticed how Durk raps these days. All Lil Durk 2022 featured songs haven’t spoken ill about dead rappers. That is what the Chicago rapper has been maintaining after he lost his brother DThang. Lil Durk will not diss dead rappers again, well is a made-up mind from the rapper.
While in his recent interview with Rollingstone, Lil Durk explained more reasons why won’t diss dead rappers. His decision followed the death of his family members Kingvon and DThang who lost their lives through gun violence.
His intention now and on is to get the city together and also play his role in making sure the killing of rappers will stop. “I’m going to start by getting the city together,” he says, “to do my part to slow down the violence.” Listening to his new song with Roddy Ricch “Twin”, there he raps perfectly.
Another thing you should about Lil Durk is that he is a father who wants to live and raise six children he is responsible for. “I’m not chasing death no more. I’m chasing a billion dollars. I want our kids to grow up safe and sound, to be able to have fun, to have a real life.”
Durk’s interview with Rollingstone is not the first we have heard a rapper commenting on fellow rappers to stop dissing dead rappers. Gucci Mane also blasts rappers who speak ill of the dead ones. On his Dissin the Dead song.
“I know my tongue is a sword, I know I should be more careful with shit that I said/I feel like I started a trend that’s never gon’ stop, they gon’ keep dissing the dead/None of this shit no pretend, this shit so for real, a nigga get shot in the head/Young nigga wicked on pills and going on drills, we need to stop dissing the dead,” Gucci raps on the chorus.
