Montero might be everything fans needed but then, it seems it’s not what the artist really wanted although it came out to be the best for fans. The artist talks about the missing features on his album as he wanted Nicki Minaj and Drake on it. In the interview he did with Jeremy O. Harris for GQ he revealed that he wanted Drake on “Dollar sign slime” which currently have Megan thee stallion on it and he needed Nicki Minaj on “Industry baby” which currently has jack Harlow on it.

Lil Nas has always been a Nicki fan even before Fame. He referenced his Nicki fan account, Nas Maraj on the music video of “sun goes down” which was the Twitter account he used for dragging Nicki’s rivals before he became lil Nas X. He told GQ that he wasn’t sure if Nick would be comfortable with the extent of nudity in the video to industry baby so he felt like jack Harlow was the right person for the song at that time while drake worked on CLB when the request for Dollar sign slime was sent.
