Jay-Z is now a platform, a consultant of fellow rappers. At least when talking about the first billionaire rapper, then Jay-Z whose real name is Shawn Corey Carter is the only hip-hop to eat on the billionaires’ table.

Forbes 2023 billionaire list has shown that Jay-Z is the only rapper that is worth the list. Same this year, Forbes reported that Hov’s Billionaire status has increased by $2.5 billion.

The 2023 Forbes Billionaire list has about 787 people who were ranked as billionaires this. However, Jay-Z has been a billionaire right from time. His most billionaire rival in hip-hop is Kanye West but YE didn’t made the list this year.

Kanye West would have been added to the list though, his saga with Adidas broke him down from the world billionaire list and he is currently outdated as the hip-hop billionaire rapper.

In 2021, spirits giant LVMH purchased a 50 percent stake in Jay’s champagne empire, Armand de Brignac, better known as Ace of Spades. Additionally, the Brooklyn rhymer sold a majority of his stake in his cognac brand D’Usse to Bacardi in February 2023.

XXL noted that Jay-Z has a portfolio of assets that range from his music catalog to his fine art collection, including valuable artwork by Jean-Michel Basquiat and holding shares in service companies like car-sharing service Uber and finance company Block.
