Future “we don’t trust you” with Boomin_ Fued with Drake
Fans are assuming that Future and Metro Boomin‘s new album, “WE DON’T TRUST YOU,” is just telling that there is an ongoing feud between them and Drake.
Following Kendrick Lamar‘s biting cameo on the brand-new song “Like That,” which looked to be directed specifically at Drizzy and J. Cole, who worked with him on “First Person Shooter,” people on social media started to speculate about what it would mean for Drake and Future.
Throughout their careers, the two have worked together on a good number of songs. In 2016, they co-headlined the Summer Sixteen Tour, which came after the release of their joint mixtape, What A Time To Be Alive.
Fans today, however, think that the lyrics to WE DON’T TRUST YOU, the album’s title track, imply that the rift was brought on by a lady that both men may have had a relationship with in addition to confirming Future’s breakup with the 6 God.
“You an n-gga No.1 fan, dog/ Sneak dissin’, I don’t understand, dog/ Pillowtalkin’, actin’ like a fed, dog/ I don’t need another fake friend, dog/ Can’t be ’bout a ho, ’cause we sharin’, dog/” is what the Atlanta native raps in the stanza. “Why are you playing, dog, in your feelings, n-gga?”
Upon deconstructing what many perceived to be a fairly coherent storyline — with the prevailing opinion suggesting that Drake might have shared something with a romantic partner that found its way back to Future — astute social media observers observed that Metro Boomin appeared to have unfollowed his “Knife Talk” partner on Instagram.
Although fans of Drake and Future are probably surprised by the notion of a schism between them, there have been persistent reports for months about a feud with Metro Boomin.
