Doja Cat’s album cover for “Scarlet” has recently been updated. Ever since it’s recent update, it has garnered mixed reactions from fans, with some expressing a preference for the previous design.

The rapper shared the new cover art on Instagram in anticipation of the album’s release on September 22.

However, the original album cover, which featured a single red spider, had been unveiled in a now-deleted Instagram post. The updated work of art, showcases two mother-of-pearl-colored spiders which are engaged in what appears to be a battle.

Although, there was a lot of speculations, which has risen prior to the change, though it’s not been confirmed yet. It is believed that the change was influenced by the album cover of German’s heavy metal band Chaver, in their upcoming release, “Of Doom.”

Both of the albums now feature the same red spider on their covers, which would possibly lead to a confusion.

Despite the sleek new design, some Doja Cat fans expressed their disappointment with the change. There was a lot of comments, which ranged from suggesting another update to expressing a preference for the original cover’s vibe.

On the other hand, there were also supporters who embraced the new look and looked forward to the album’s release.

Doja Cat announced “Scarlet” earlier, while she released a trailer for her upcoming single titled “Demons”. The horror-inspired trailer features Christina Ricci and showcases a haunted house scenario.

Moreover, the track is produced by D.A. Got That Dope, and it follows previews of “Attention” and “Paint the Town Red,” both of which achieved success on the Billboard charts.

While the updated Doja Cat’s album cover drew varying opinions from fans, the anticipation for her new album and single remains high, showcasing the artist’s ability to generate attention and engagement within her fan base.
