Soulja Boy is currently expressing his discontent towards YoungBoy Never Broke Again and Lil Durk for announcing their upcoming project releases on the same day as his own latest release, which has left him feeling targeted. On Tuesday, May 9th, the rapper took to Instagram Live to voice his frustration towards YB and Durkio, going on an agitated rant.

The new releases in question are set to drop on Friday, May 12th, with Soulja’s latest project entitled “Soulja Season”. The rapper appears to be angry that the other artists are choosing to release their music on the same day as his, potentially competing for listeners and ultimately impacting his sales.

The root cause of Soulja Boy’s ire appears to be a perceived lack of respect from Lil Durk and NBA YoungBoy. It seems that he feels they should have picked an alternative date for their project releases, rather than potentially creating a sense of rivalry or conflict by dropping their music on the same day as his. In Soulja’s view, this may imply a lack of regard for his standing in the industry, prompting his frustration and anger towards the two rappers.

“Y’all ain’t gon’ do s**t. Y’all woulda been scrapped. Y’all woulda been fought. Cut it out,” Soulja Boy says in the video below, addressing Top and Durk’s beef. “P***y-a*s n***a, you seen me announce my muthaf***in album and the next day you announced your album. So, guess what? You lame, n***a. F**k you talking ’bout? Scary-a*s n***a.”

“Y’all do that s**t on your own time,” Soulja Boy continued. “When you see a real gangsta dropping, get the f**k out the way. Durk, you scary as f**k. If you gone fight YoungBoy, gon’ and fight him.”

Aswehiphop’s 2023 top compilation showcases the talents of Lil Durk and NBA YoungBoy, both of whom have been featured on the list despite already having released new music. Nevertheless, the two rappers are set to drop new albums of their own soon, with the release date scheduled for the 12th of this month. It remains to be seen if they will indeed follow through on their plans, and fans are undoubtedly eager to hear what new sounds and styles the artists have in store for them.
