In addition to being a successful musician and actor, Kid Cudi has also made a name for himself in the entertainment industry as a film producer. His next big screen venture is quickly approaching.

The trailer for MaXXXine, the third and last part of a slasher-horror trilogy with Mia Goth in the lead role, was released by the Ohio native on Monday, April 8. The first two X and Pearl films, which were directed by Ti West and produced by Cudder’s Mad Solar productions, were both released in 2022.

He not only acted as an executive producer on all three films, but in the first one he actually portrayed Jackson Hole. The film, which will be released on July 5, stars Lily Collins, Kevin Bacon, and Halsey, among many others.

Renowned filmmaker Martin Scorsese gave iconic actor Cudi some pretty high marks for his efforts when the first two films in the trilogy were released.

The “Mr. Rager” hitmaker co-produced Pearl with LeBron James’ BRON Creative and A24, and the Cleveland superstar got one of the biggest endorsements in movie history when the Goodfellas director lauded the film.

I couldn’t sleep since I was so uneasy and agitated at different times. But I couldn’t stop watching,” the resident of New York City remarked in an interview about the graphic movie. “The pure, unadulterated love of cinema that drives Ti West’s films gives them a kind of energy that is so rare these days.”

After learning about the aforementioned compliment, Kid Cudi tweeted, “This blows my mind,” expressing his shock. A film I produced is adored by Martin Scorsese. Whoa. We’re here now, Mad Solar.”

The forty-year-old actor debuted in Hollywood in 2010 after landing a part in the HBO series How To Make It In America. Since then, he has acted in big-budget projects like his Entergalactic animated series, which he even describes as his “greatest achievement,” and Netflix’s Don’t Look Up.
