Section. 80 and good kid, m.A.A.d city were a remarkable one-two punch, but To Pimp A Butterfly was the knockout punch that came after both for many. Released more than eight years ago now, the album is widely considered a classic and still sells a significant amount of copies on vinyl every year, almost as if it’s a piece of art. Interscope Records has taken things to the next level, however.

A KTT2 user recently noticed that the Interscope Records online store is selling a vinyl version of Kendrick Lamar’s TPAB for an astounding $2,500. The vinyl includes an “11.5” x 11.5″ gallery-quality giclée printed cover by Lauren Halsey, affixed to a tan custom-dyed linen-wrapped vinyl jacket.” It is limited to just 100 copies, signed by Halsey, and comes in custom packaging designed by GUCCI. The vinyl also includes a catalogue of Artists Inspired by Music: Interscope Reimagined, featuring Dr. Dre on the cover.
