Future and Metro Boomin “We Don’t Trust You” Goes No. 1
Future and Metro Boomin have had the largest sales week of 2024 so far, as their joint album We Don’t Trust You debuted at number one on the Billboard 200.
According to Billboard, the project launched with 251,000 equivalent album units, the year’s strongest sales week and Future’s second most ever behind What a Time To Be Alive, his 2015 collaboration with Drake.
The We Don’t Trust You music album happens to be the rapper “Future ninth” number one album, and Metro Boomin fourth and this time they have made progress more than they have ever done in this particular album.
The majority of the album’s sales came from streaming, with 324.31 million streams throughout its 17 tracks.
The highly anticipated “Like That” is also slated to debut at number one on this week’s Billboard Hot 100.
The explosive single, which boasts a guest verse from Kendrick Lamar directed at Drake and J. Cole, has already sold over 500,000 equivalent units since its release on March 22nd. It is the fastest song to reach this milestone in 2024.
Kendrick lashed out at Drake and Cole throughout the song, initially referring to their chart-topping collaboration “First Person Shooter.”
“Yeah, get up with me/ Fuck sneak dissin’, first person shooter/ I hope they came with three switches,” the rapper said. This actually got the rapper Drake so upset with Future and Metro Boomin and also csused a kind of online fight between their fans.
