Busta Rhymes is a respected rapper in the music industry but there are some rappers he holds in high esteem. One of them is Missy Elliot. In an interview with Apple Music, the  rapper when asked about who he thought was a worthy opponent in a Verzuz battle replied,” Ain’t nobody playing with me, period.”

When further asked if he could battle with Missy Elliot he responded “Never with Missy,” he said. “The reason why I can’t ever do a Verzuz or even compete with Missy on a challenging level is ’cause that’s my twin … I’m Missy and she’s Busta Rhymes. I will never ever ever ever ever, because I love her so much, I can’t talk my shit the way I would want to in a Verzuz.”

He didn’t stop there, he further compared their style of music and acknowledged that they are mates as long as rap was concerned. He explains that battling her would be a celebration instead of war.

Missy Elliot is also a huge supporter of Busta Rhymes as she took to social media after he was awarded BET’s coveted Lifetime Achievement.

On Instagram, she wrote, “To my Twin @bustarhymes, we have been glued at the hip for 26 years & my LOVE & ADMIRATION for you still grows. I am still in aww over your ART & your MUSIC, but most of all, your HEART is at the TOP of any chart,” she wrote in the post’s caption.

She continued: “Love you, bro, and CONGRATULATIONS on your Lifetime Achievement award & many more to come thank you for the TIMELESS MUSIC & CLASSIC VISUALS you’ve shared with the WORLD,” 

These two rappers made a name in the music industry and we can see that there is only love and support between them.
