BIG SEAN HINTS A NEW TRACK THAT WILL DROP THIS WEEK
Big Sean has said that a brand-new song that he performed during his weekend’s Rolling Loud performance will be available on streaming services this week.
Instagram blogger Riki P. posted a video on Saturday, March 16, showing Big Sean sprinting off stage while a song’s hook plays in the background. The 2005 hit song “Poppin’ My Collar” by Three 6 Mafia, featuring Project Pat, has a horn-heavy sample that the Detroit MC’s distinctive adlib plays over.
The description for the photo says, “At the end of his set at Rolling Loud, @bigsean mentioned new music dropping next week & played a snippet of a new song.” “I adore the flip of “Poppin My Collar.”
Part of the first verse of the music, which was also played for fans in the Rolling Loud audience, is captured on a second slide.
Big Sean himself confirmed in the comments that the new song will be released on all platforms this week, hours after Riki P. posted the teaser.
“I don’t know why the lyrics were coming in and out that way. However, it’s happening next week,” he added, adding a series of flaming emojis
Social media users started to see hints that new music might be on the way late last week. The rapper “IDFWU,” who had promised in February that new song will be released this year, deleted all of the posts from his Instagram account save for one that announced the birth of his baby.
