50 Cent reveal’s that his top wish list of collaborators is Lil Wayne when it comes to those he’s yet to work with.

The G-Unit rapper was in a recent interview with Capital XTRA. In the interview, he spoke in high hopes of working with Lil Wayne.

This was after he was asked to mention the name of the Hip-Hop artist he’d like to work with. He said to the hosts, Robert Bruce and Shyna Marie,

“I didn’t do one with Wayne directly. He’s one of the ones”.

50 Cent also said that he had hit the road with The New Orleans rap legend, Lil Wanye earlier on in his career on the star studded Cash Money and Ruff Ryders tour in 2000.

“People don’t know, I was on the Cash Money/Ruff Ryders tour — before they opened the curtain,” he said. “Before the show started, people was still walking in and shit and I was doing my shit. They thought I was lightweight, but then I came back around”. Said 50 Cent.

While 50 Cent’s hope is to hit the studio with Lil Wayne, lots of other figures in the industry has made it known that, they would rather see them do battle in the Verzuz ring.

In March, Ebro Darden, Hot 97 and Apple Music’s host, ignited a heated arguement, when he claimed that 50 Cent would “wash” Lil Wayne in a song for song contest.

“What Jadakiss did to Dipset…Is what 50 will do to Wayne… @yourboyeddie wasn’t outside in the mid-2000s”. He tweeted, referencing The LOX’s dominant victory over the Harlem crew in 2021.

There after, Young Guru, Jay-Z’s longtime engineer weighed in and scoffed at Ebro’s statement. “Y’all are crazy. Wayne would wash 50. Period”.  He commented on his Instagram Stories.

Later in that same month, Swizz Beatz co-creator Verzuz said that he wasn’t in support the idea of 50 Cent and Lil  Wayne in battle, due to them being different artists.
