On April Fools’ Day, EMINEM pranks fans by revealing the release of a new album.
Eminem gave his followers a very nostalgic April Fools’ Day joke by releasing a parody album that alluded to his early career.
Slim Shady released a video on Instagram on Monday, April 1 “April Fools’ Day.” The video starts with an announcer hinting at “the highly anticipated next studio album,” but it soon becomes clear that things aren’t quite as they seem.
“Out Now [firework, flame, and an infinity emoji]” is what the caption says.
The video’s statement that the new album “is back to where it all started”—that is, Em’s 1996 first album Infinite—made the meaning of the final character immediately clear.
The announcer promises “even more Infinite” as the music transitions to the project’s title track.
Jokes aside, the title single of Em’s Infinite LP is currently accessible on streaming providers, but the album itself is not. Take a look at it below
Dr. Dre claims that Eminem is actually working on a new album, despite the aforementioned joke.
The N.W.A legend used his appearance on Jimmel Kimmel Live! last month to disclose that his protégé would be releasing a new album in 2024. As he sat next to Snoop Dogg and 50 Cent, he also informed the presenter that he had Em’s OK to share the news.
“Now, allow me to clarify something for you: Eminem is currently working on his own album, which will be released later this year,” he stated.
And when I spoke with him in person, he gave me the go-ahead to reveal it on this programme. He’s releasing an album, and several of my songs are on it. It sounds amazing. Tomorrow, I will truly be listening to the entire record for the first time.
