Nicki Minaj is experiencing a wave of nostalgia with Drake’s new collab, sparking memories of their shared time with Young Money.

During a TikTok livestream, the Queens native shared her sentiments about the new track, which took her back to the “fun times” she had during the heyday of Young Money when she was closely associated with Lil Wayne and Drake.

“This recent collaboration with Drake really brought back memories, like the times when we used to do Nicki Minaj TV during the Lil Wayne tour and such,” she reflected. “Those were fun times, right?”

Anticipation builds as fans await the release of Drake’s new collab on his upcoming album titled “For All The Dogs,” expected to drop in the forthcoming weeks.

Nicki Minaj and Drake have a rich history of collaboration dating back to the late 2000s, when Young Money emerged as a powerhouse in mainstream Hip Hop.

Their collaboration began with Nicki’s appearance on the remix of Drake’s breakout hit “Best I Ever Had” in 2009, leading to a series of anthems including “Up All Night,” “Moment 4 Life,” “Only,” “Make Me Proud,” “Truffle Butter,” and “Only.”

In 2021, the trio of Nicki, Drake, and Wayne reunited for “Seeing Green,” a track filled with vintage Young Money vibes. Nicki’s uncredited vocals also made an appearance on Drake’s track “Papi’s Home” from his Certified Lover Boy album.

Drake initially confirmed the new collaboration with Nicki Minaj during his Detroit tour stop for the. “It’s All a Blur Tour” in July.

Expressing his love and appreciation for the Detroit crowd, he shared that he and Nicki Minaj had teamed up for their first song in a long time.

Amid cheers from the audience, he playfully noted that they would “get to the most important part” after a humorous remark about assessing the crowd.
