Ne-Yo’s Ex-Girlfriend Sparks Child Support Battle
Ne-Yo’s ex-girlfriend, Sade Bagnerise, has ignited a contentious child support dispute. This lead to a court-ordered mediation session for the former couple.
As reported by Radar Online on Wednesday (September 6). A Georgia judge has compelled Ne-Yo and his ex-girlfriend to participate in mediation before September 22.
A newly issued document states unequivocally that…
“The appearance and participation of all parties is required at the scheduled mediation session”. And this would underscore the gravity of their ongoing legal clash.
Some time in June, Ne-Yo’s ex-girlfriend exacted her claim for primary custody of their two children. Coupled with this, she also asked for immediate monthly child support.
She did, however, propose the possibility of shared joint legal custody. Which would enable Ne-Yo to have a role in their children’s lives.
Her proposal included allocating every other weekend visitation and alternating holiday parenting time for the “Miss Independent” singer.
In Ne-Yo’s prior legal filing, he had also requested a DNA test. It was to establish paternity for Bagnerise’s youngest child while acknowledging paternity of the first child.
However, in her response, Bagnerise refrained from directly addressing the demand but affirmed that…
“Ne-Yo is the biological father of her children.”
Ne-Yo’s personal life has been under intense media scrutiny recently. In February, he concluded a costly divorce from Crystal Renay, requiring a substantial financial settlement.
As part of the divorce agreement, Renay will acquire one of their four Georgia residences, along with $20,000 for moving expenses. Ne-Yo will further provide Renay with $150,000 to purchase a new car, while retaining possession of their 2022 Bentley Bentayga.
With three children together, Ne-Yo will pay $12,000 in monthly child support, cover their educational expenses, and contribute an additional $3,000 per month in alimony for the next three years.
Both Ne-Yo and Renay have formally agreed not to introduce romantic partners to their children without mutual consent or unless they are engaged or married.
Renay filed for divorce in August 2022, merely four months after they renewed their marriage vows.
She alleged that Ne-Yo had been unfaithful “numerous times” and secretly fathered a child with another woman. during their eight-year union—a child who, intriguingly, turned out to be Bagnerise’s firstborn.
