J. Cole Overlooked by Dealership While Shopping for Tesla Cybertruck
J. Cole may be a huge star, but his fame didn’t seem to make a difference during a recent visit to a Tesla dealership.
A fan spotted him shopping for a Cybertruck on Monday (June 3) and noticed that the staff were giving them more attention than Cole.
The fan shared a video and wrote: “J. Cole & I were shopping for Teslas at the same time, but the manager ignored him because he didn’t recognize him and kept trying to get me to order a car.”
This isn’t the first time Cole has kept a low profile.
He was widely memed after backing out of the “Big Three” battle with Kendrick Lamar and Drake. Despite the jokes, there was some truth to the situation.
Last month, a TikTok user went viral for encountering the rapper at the beach. This happened during the ongoing feud between Kendrick and Drake that has captivated Hip Hop fans. Even with the high-profile tensions, Cole was enjoying a quiet moment, reflecting his usual laid-back style.
The user, @2kold.fr, posted a video of calming ocean waves followed by a photo of herself sitting next to Cole on the beach. The “Middle Child” rapper, seemingly alone, wore a casual outfit and headphones connected to a laptop.
Cole had stepped back from the beef in April after dissing Kendrick on “7 Minute Drill,” which responded to Kendrick’s verse on Future and Metro Boomin’s “Like That.” Shortly after releasing the diss track, Cole apologized to Kendrick at his Dreamville Festival and promised to remove the song from streaming services, a promise he kept.
“I’m so proud of [Might Delete Later], except for one part. It’s one part of that shit that makes me feel like, man, that’s the lamest shit I did in my life,” he told the crowd. “And I know this is not what a lot of people want to hear.
“I was conflicted because I know my heart and how I feel about my peers. These two guys, I’ve been blessed to stand beside in this game, let alone chase their greatness. So I felt conflicted because I don’t even feel any way. But the world wants to see blood.”
