Birdman is still listed as a witness in Young Thug ongoing RICO trial, but Gunna has officially said that she will not be testifying.

Gunna will not be taking the stand after the court instructed the prosecution to reduce the number of witnesses they intended to question. Gunna previously agreed to a contentious plea deal in the case.

Only about 200 of the approximately 700 identified witnesses that the state had initially submitted might now be called to testify during the trial.

The names of Gunna and Unfoonk, the brother of Lil Wayne and Thug who had previously received a term of more than nine years in prison, were struck off the updated witness list.

Prominent figures who might yet be asked to testify are Rich Homie Quan, a former close associate of Thug, and Birdman, the co-founder of Cash Money. YFN Lucci is listed as a witness as well.

Gunna has been accused of spying on Young Thug in order to get a plea deal, a claim he has consistently refuted.

He responded to the accusations with a rhyme on his most recent Offset duet, “Prada Dem,” saying, “I set the trend, I’m a trendsetter/ I’m not a rat, still gettin’ cheddar.”

In December 2022, the Drip or Down hitmaker went into an Alford plea, which meant that, in an effort to protect himself, he entered a guilty plea to a single charge of racketeering conspiracy while claiming his innocence on the same charge.
