Cam’ron, Ma$e & Clown Rappers Want Roc Nation Deal With Jayz
Ma$e and Cam’ron have made fun of new rappers who appear to join with Roc Nation thinking they will immediately receive a verse from JAY-Z.
The two Harlem rappers discussed how signing with Jay Z doesn’t mean you’ll only get a cameo verse from the legendary artist on their programme It Is What It Is.
The subject was brought up when Ma$e contrasted the problems Draymond Green was having with LeBron James over his choice to start a podcast with the hopes of Roc Nation signees to get a Hov verse. Both NBA players are represented by Klutch Sports, which was established by LeBron’s longtime buddy and agent Rich Paul.
Regarding Green’s assumption that James would assist his podcast rather than compete with it, Murda remarked, “It’s almost like being on Roc Nation and you can’t get the verse.”
And that frequently occurs. You go to Roc Nation expecting to receive a verse from Hov, but it never works out. A paper plane cap is the only thing that comes with a contract, Cam joked as the two started riffing on the concept.
They gave them the impression that they were receiving a Hov verse. Then Ma$e made a joke, “You’re still waiting for Hov.” “That’s what you’re getting, an aeroplane hat.”
