Effie White and Deena Jones reunited with Beyoncé and Jennifer Hudson backstage at the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards.
The cast of the 2006 hit movie Dreamgirls stumbled into each other backstage at the yearly event, which took place on Monday, April 1. this led to the Dreamgirls reunion.

The next day, J.Hud posted a carousel of pictures and videos on Instagram, capturing the moment Queen B saw her and gave her a bear embrace

“I’m overjoyed that I was able to support my Dreamgirls sister when she accepted the @iheartradio Innovator Award!” The native Chicagoan wrote with an emoji of a heart. “Congratulations on receiving such a meritorious award! I adore you, @beyonce!

Jennifer Hudson noted that Beyoncé received this year’s iHeartRadio Music Awards’ Innovator Award. In her acceptance speech, the native of Houston acknowledged a number of music icons.

“I would want to dedicate this award to all the innovators who have made it their mission to bring about change through their life and art. Thus, I want to thank you for your selflessness, strength of voice, and bravery,” she remarked.

“To André 3000, Tina Turner, Michael Jackson, Prince, Stevie Wonder, Linda Martell, Tracy Chapman, and Rosetta Tharp.”

Notably, Wonder, who helped with her Cowboy Carter record, gave her the trophy as well.

She said, “I love you and I honour you,” in reference to him. I want to express my gratitude for creating a path for us all. It is a privilege to be acknowledged by you, Stevie Wonder. You are the first person I think of when someone asks me who I can listen to for the rest of my life.
