Legend Tupac deserves all the accolades for his music career that lasted for a short while.  The west coast Legend will get a street in Oakland Named after him to keep his legacy alive.

The council of the city of Oakland is considering renaming a part of MarArthur and Boulevard “Tupac Shakur Way”.

Brought forth by Council member Carroll Fife,  the council member states “Tupac Shakur’s legacy will continue through his contributions in art and social outreach, through his family and fans, touching countless lives of children and elders over the years while alive and after his death, taken too young by gun violence,”

Tupac’s career started out at Oakland where he was a background dancer for Digital Undergrounder. Most of his albums were also made in California.

The city of Oakland previously honored Too $hort with a street named in his honor in December 2022.

In 2016, Oakland declared  June 16 Tupac Shakur Day in honor of him. But Tupac isn’t the only celebrity honored by Oakland. In 2022, Too Short was given a street in his name.

However,  the legend was murdered by his close acquaintances and that incident shocked the whole world.  The legendary artist was loved by all his fans and is still celebrated to date. He released albums like 1991’s 2Pacalypse Now, 1993’s Strictly For My N.I.G.G.A.Z., 1995’s Me Against The World, and 1996’s All Eyez On Me.
