“I wanted to give myself the proper amount of time to really just deliver something that I was super proud of,” said Big Sean when asked if he is putting a lot of pressure on himself over the project. He said.

“Single Again” peaked at #64 on the Hot 100 and only spent 3 weeks on the chart. “Bezerk” debuted at #89 before falling off the tally the next week. Sean has seen greater success on the Billboard 200 album chart. 2015’s Dark Sky Paradise and 2017’s I Decided hit #1.

“I’m not here for the moment. I’m here for the longevity,” Sean told Martinez during a separate interview in New York City. “It’d be different if I had to capitalize off like one hit song or a one-hit-wonder type of vibe. I’ve seen a lot of people come and go, and I take pride in being an artist who tries new things. I evolve. I’m never scared to put any idea I have out there.”
