Travis Scott is set to make his mark in the WWE universe, as it was announced that the rapper will be a special part of Monday Night Raw when the wrestling franchise debuts on Netflix this January.

The announcement was made during ComplexCon on Sunday, November 17, where Travis Scott, also known as La Flame, surprised fans with the big reveal. Onstage with him was WWE legend and Chief Content Officer Triple H, who presented Travis with the prestigious Hardcore Champion title belt.

In a moment captured on video, Triple H handed over the belt, calling it the “Hardcore Champion” title. Travis enthusiastically asked, “When’s the first time I can put this to the test?” Triple H revealed the highly anticipated date: January 6, when WWE Monday Night Raw will be broadcast live from the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, California, marking the start of its Netflix era.

Triple H later took to X (formerly Twitter) to share the announcement, saying: “When we say WWE goes big, we mean it. The first #WWERaw of the @Netflix era will be at the @IntuitDome in Los Angeles on January 6th, and @trvisXX will be there live and in person. The countdown is on…”

Adding more excitement to the partnership, a Netflix press release on Monday, November 18, confirmed that Travis Scott will also create a new theme song for WWE Raw. While the exact details of his role during the January 6 show remain under wraps, fans speculate that Travis will likely perform the track live during the historic broadcast.

Travis Scott’s Record-Breaking Circus Maximus Tour

This announcement comes on the heels of Travis Scott’s Circus Maximus Tour achieving a monumental milestone. As of October 22, the tour officially broke the record for the most tickets sold on a rap tour, surpassing the previous benchmark set by Drake’s It’s All A Blur Tour.

Drake’s tour, which ran from 2023 to earlier this year, set the bar high with an impressive 1.3 million tickets sold. However, Travis Scott’s current trek has now hit 1.5 million tickets sold, according to Complex.

While the Circus Maximus Tour dominates in ticket sales, Drake’s tour holds the edge in revenue. It grossed a staggering $320.5 million, compared to Circus Maximus’ earnings of $154.6 million from 1.2 million tickets as of last month. Although Travis Scott’s final gross remains unclear, it’s unlikely to surpass Drake’s record-breaking revenue total.

A Historic Collaboration

The collaboration between Travis Scott and WWE is a groundbreaking moment for both the music and wrestling industries. WWE’s partnership with Netflix marks a new era for the iconic wrestling brand, and Travis Scott’s involvement adds a fresh, dynamic edge to the upcoming launch.

From creating a new theme song for Monday Night Raw to possibly stepping into the ring, Travis Scott’s presence promises to make WWE’s Netflix debut unforgettable. Combined with his ongoing success in music and live performances, this move underscores his status as a cultural force across entertainment genres.

Fans of both Travis Scott and WWE should mark their calendars for January 6, when the rapper will take center stage at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles. Whether you’re tuning in for the wrestling or to see La Flame in action, it’s shaping up to be a night to remember.
