Rapper DMX Passed Away at 50
Yes many can just believe rapper DMX who is prepping for new album this year has passed away. This news has been officially verified by Amahiphop.
He passed away after suffering from overdose as a result of heart attack. This is a very painful exit while some hip-hop fans have described this as inexplicable lost on hip-hop genre.
The news first hit the internet while some popular domains were only trying to know the swirling about DMX is true. His manager Steve Rifkind had to release a statement saying that he was still alive, asking fans to keep praying.
His family has issued a formal statement to confirm the news that the rapper died on Friday, April 9th.
“We are deeply saddened to announce today that our loved one, DMX, birth name of Earl Simmons, passed away at 50-years-old at White Plains Hospital with his family by his side after being placed on life support for the past few days,” read the statement. “Earl was a warrior who fought till the very end. He loved his family with all of his heart and we cherish the times we spent with him. Earl’s music inspired countless fans across the world and his iconic legacy will live on forever.”
“We appreciate all of the love and support during this incredibly difficult time. Please respect our privacy as we grieve the loss of our brother, father, uncle and the man the world knew as DMX. We will share information about his memorial service once details are finalized.”
The White Plains hospital also released a statement, saying, “White Plains Hospital extends its deepest condolences to the family of Mr. Simmons, as well as his friends and legions of fans who expressed their unwavering support during this difficult time. Earl Simmons passed away peacefully with family present after suffering a catastrophic cardiac arrest.”
Results for some important brain functioning tests came in on Thursday which showed that there is no improvement in his brain activity. X was rushed to the hospital last Friday after suffering an overdose where he has remained in coma.
The legendary rapper has battled with substance abuse over the years and has had a few health scares in the past. He’s also been to rehab a few times. Back in October, 2019, he canceled multiple concerts to go to rehab, calling it “ongoing commitment to putting family and sobriety first.”
