Lil Wayne Celebrates Victory In $20m Lawsuit Involving Former Manager
Lil Wayne now a freeman from his formal Manager who’s name is Ronald Sweeney who sued him for unpaid commission that worth more money. This was happening around 2020 during the Pandemic global impact. Ronald Sweeney and officials demanded their unpaid money about 20 million in dollars.
He has waited for Lil Wayne to clear his debt same that year just before he sent in lawsuit against the rapper. The lawsuit claimed that Wayne failed to keep a number of financial agreements, including paying him a 10-percent share of music-related lawsuit settlements, 10 percent of the sale of Wayne’s master recordings, plus 17 percent in general commissions relating to day-to-day management duties.
Already in 2019, Lil Wayne sue formal lawyer for $20 million claiming he was robbed. That was settled as expect till Sweeney came in with his lawsuit in December 2020 which turned and became legal battle between both of them.
Lil Wayne was expected to show up in the law court over the lawsuit back on August 24th but the rapper didn’t. The reason why he was called in was to deposition himself and give more information as regards the $20M commission claimed by his co-worker.
Well, the verdict is that Lil Wayne is currently giving the battle a little taste of celebration after hearing the lawsuit has been dismissed Pitchfork noted that Jude in a California federal court threw out the lawsuit in agreement with a motion to dismiss the case filed by Lil Wayne’s attorney.
Lil Wayne and Ronald Sweeney have been in the work together since 2005 and he has helped Lil Wayne in some ways even during his critical time with Cash Money.
Lil Wayne has then moved on with his career with so many music he has dropped since this year. The rapper is on trend with Lil Baby who has also been getting ton of features, as both fight for most featured in 2021.
