Lil Baby has step forward to give accolades to Lil Wayne and himself also.

This generation of rap has changed but Lil Wayne is proud to remain more relevant as he claimed Lil Wayne of this generation for EST Gee’s “5500 Degrees,” released on Wednesday (July 21), in which he confidently calls himself the Lil Wayne of this current rap generation.

“I’m going too crazy, I’m the Wayne of this new generation,” he raps. “N-ggas fugazi, they can’t fuck with us no type of ways, these n-ggas too lazy/I’m cut from a different type of cloth, I don’t know who raised ’em/Every time I pop out all the women screaming, ‘Woo, baby.’” You can watch it below.

This is not the first time Lil Baby is praising for his good to hip-hop. In 2020 he also talked about Lil Wayne during his Rollong Stone interview.

“I always feel like Wayne did what he wanted to do, in a sense,” he said. “And the reason I feel like he could do whatever he wanted to do was because he put the numbers up behind him. So that’s the way I’m kind of rocking. I’m gonna rock out how I wanna rock out, as long as I put the numbers up.”
