Kanye West & Ty $ign Joint Album Debuts No. 1 at Billboard 200
Kanye West and Ty Dolla $IGN has finally made it to the top of the chart. They released their first collaborative album Vultures 1 which has finally debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 charts.
In its first week, the set moved 148,000 units in its with 18,000 of it in album sales, reports Billboard. 129,000 SEA units equaled 167.78 million on-demand official streams of the album’s 16 tracks.
Vultures 1 makes Ty Dolla $ign’s first No. 1 debut and Ye’s 11th consecutive chart-topping album. Kanye now ties Bruce Springsteen and Barbra Streisand with 11 No. 1s each. Only The Beatles (19), Jay-Z (14), Drake and Taylor Swift (each with 13) are the only artists ahead of the Chicago rapper.
Released on February 10, Vultures 1 is the first of three installments from Ye and Ty Dolla. The album includes the singles “Vultures” featuring Lil Durk and Bump J, the North West-assisted “Talking/Once Again”, and other collaborations from the likes of Freddie Gibbs, Travis Scott, Playboi Carti, Chris Brown, and more. It also marks the first independent project outside of the major label system and was released through Kanye’s own label YZY.
