With over five years since her last album release, Cardi B is gearing up to concentrate on her upcoming solo endeavor, coined as ‘Cardi B’s Solo Project’.

In an interview released alongside her Vogue Mexico cover on Friday (August 25), the Bronx sensation assured fans that her next solo single is in the works and nearing completion.

Declaring her intention, Cardi explained…

“I’m not going to release any more collaborations, I’m going to put out my next solo single. Everyone always tells me I should put the record out now. So stay tuned because it’s coming out very soon”.

Cardi B April 2018 released her Grammy-winning debut album “Invasion of Privacy”. Few of Cardi B’s solo project includes “Money” in December 2018, “Press” in 2019.

The hit “WAP” featuring Megan Thee Stallion in 2020, “Up” in 2021, and “Hot Shit” with Lil Durk and Kanye West in 2022.

She’s also made guest appearances on various tracks, collaborating with rising female rap artists such as GloRilla, FendiDa Rappa, and Latto.

Admitting anxiety as a major factor behind her sophomore album’s delay in a December Instagram Live, Cardi B revealed that the pressure and scrutiny on her work had taken a toll on her.

Despite her recent high-energy performances, she confessed that music had begun to feel like a job that induced anxiety. However, she acknowledged her need to overcome this sentiment and expressed her determination to release more music.

In the Vogue Mexico interview, Cardi B also shared her aspirations beyond music, expressing plans to venture into cinema and fashion. She disclosed…

“I also have plans in the world of cinema… In fact, I have plans to do everything I can: fashion, branding, I want to do it all, honey”.

While Cardi B has had small roles in films and even attempted a lead role in 2022, plans fell through due to feeling “overextended.” Her cinematic future remains uncertain, but her passion for various creative avenues is undeniable.
