Beyoncé has officially released “MORNING DEW (DONK),” giving fans the long-awaited studio version of one of her most talked-about unreleased songs. The track arrives as part of the celebration surrounding the 20th anniversary of her classic 2006 album B’Day and marks her first new music in two years.

Originally circulating online as the leaked track “Donk,” the song quickly became a favorite among the BeyHive, with many hoping it would eventually receive an official release. That day has finally arrived.

A Special Gift for the BeyHive

According to Parkwood Entertainment, “MORNING DEW (DONK)” serves as a tribute to Beyoncé’s loyal fans while kicking off the countdown to the upcoming 20th Anniversary Edition of B’Day, scheduled for release on September 4. The song was written by Beyoncé alongside Pharrell Williams, The-Dream, and Darius Dixon, with production handled by Beyoncé and Pharrell.

The accompanying visual features repurposed archival footage directed by longtime collaborator Cliff Watts, giving the release a nostalgic feel that connects back to the original B’Day era.
