Lil Durk Wants to End Chicago Violence by Hosting “Smurkchella”
In an attempt to lessen the violence in his community, Lil Durk is planning a performance in Chicago that he is calling “Smurkchella.”
On Wednesday, April 10, he posted a request for musicians to assist him in organising the event, which he intends to organise at the Bears stadium, on his Instagram Story.
He wrote, “I’ma do a Smurkchella at the Bears stadium in Chicago next year.” “There will be a stop the violence event, and we will divide the proceeds in half among various non-profits, ranging in size from large to small.” To help preserve these children, I need assistance from every artist who has locked in with me.
“@neighborhoodheroesfoundation will help put it together let’s go this my way of giving back without saying it to look cool,” he continued, tagging the nonprofit he founded.

After establishing his Neighbourhood Heroes non-profit in 2020, Lil Durk has been progressively giving back to his neighbourhood ever since.
They collaborated with Chicago Votes, a nonprofit organisation, in 2022 to provide 29,000 hand sanitizer bottles to correctional staff members and prisoners at the Illinois Department of Correction. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the programme was started to address the jail system’s lack of access to clean water.
