It was disclosed that Drake texted Joe Budden. This was due to his harsh critique of Drake’s latest album, For All the Dogs.

Budden began by reading out Drake’s lengthy Instagram comment from last week.

During that time, the rapper accused Budden of having “failed at music”. He also called him a “poster child of frustration and surrender”.

Furthermore, it was revealed that Drake texted Joe Budden as he sent him a “55-second voice note”.

He initially admitted not listening to it but proceeded to read it aloud.

Although, the message from Drake urged Budden to relax and have a drink. He also asked Joe to work on some music. It did seem as though Drake wanted to put an end to their differences.

Responding to Drake’s messages. Budden conveyed that he didn’t understand why Drake reacted so intensely.

Also, he admitted that he actually liked the album and didn’t seek any conflict.

Drake, however, expressed his grievances about Budden’s initial comments, feeling they went beyond criticizing the album and touched on his personal life.

More to this, Drake emphasized the importance of keeping the discussion focused on music rather than delving into his personal affairs.

He also took a jab at Budden’s co-host, Parks, calling for a more journalistic approach in their discussions.

After revealing these messages, Joe Budden clarified that he’s not a “hater” of Drake, and his co-hosts confirmed that he had shown appreciation for Drake in the past.

This feud ignited when Budden shared his candid thoughts on Drake’s album during a podcast episode. He suggested that Drake, now 37 years old, should move away from pursuing younger artists. And should engage with a more mature audience in his music.

But Drake responded with a lengthy social media post, accusing Budden of “failing at music”.

The exchange between the two continued, highlighting their differing perspectives on music and career paths.
