East Coast Legends Jay-Z, Nas, and Diddy Honors Biggie During 35th Rock & Roll Hall of Fame
Traditional late Hip-hop rap-star Notorious Biggie passed away over decades old but the community already gotten recognition making Biggie another icon at least when talked about hip-hop varieties, most influential rappers keeping the culture going. Biggie’s history can’t be denied and till date people grasp the depths of his talents, despite been late.
Biggie, legacy remains a transition to new generation of rap. His death couldn’t restrict honors due to him and the rap legend was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame during the 35th annual ceremony that aired on HBO Saturday (Nov. 7) and that was totally gathering featuring living East Coast legends. The venue unite Diddy, Jay-Z Nas more tributes coming from Biggie’s family.
He was honored with props and gratitude for his positive impact built from East Coast, not only Diddy showed up at the 35th anniversary officially left tribute for Notorious Biggie. Jay-Z and Nas also shared how honorable they are but behind it is Big.
According to Diddy, “Big just wanted to be biggest, he wanted to be the best, he wanted to have influence and impact people in a positive way, and that clearly has been done all over the world,” Diddy said, according to Pitchfork. “Nobody has come close to the way Biggie sounds, to the way he raps, to the frequency that he hits. Tonight we are inducting the greatest rapper of all time into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the Notorious B.I.G. representing Brooklyn, New York, we up in here!”
According to Nas, “Rap music is all about who’s gonna be the king,” he said. “The West Coast, they was sellin’ millions of records, and before Big, I felt like there was only so far New York rap could go as far as sales. Biggie changed all of that.”
According to Jay-Z, “They were these tales that was disturbing, but they all had a purpose,” he said. “The human side of him came through in his music, and I think it moved the molecules in the world. I know for a fact that he pointed me in a direction and I’m sure that’s happened to millions and millions of people worldwide.”
From above opinions, Nas talked about Biggie as the light for New York rapper, while Jay-Z sees Biggie the same way with Alfred Hitchcock but Diddy added Biggie as rapper want strictly strive to impact positively to the people.
