J.Cole’s lyrics is removed from Drake’s Jodeci freestyle in Drake’s “Care package”
On Aug 02, Drakes awaited project dropped and we noticed that Jodeci freestyle had something slightly different. J.Cole’s “autisic” verse was scrubbed as found to be offensive in the 2013 initial release.
“Go check the numbers dummy, that’s just me gettin’ started/I’m artistic, you niggas is autistic, retarded,” he rapped. And this was scrubbed out. After the initial song release,J.Cole had something to say about it.
“In a recent verse on the song ‘Jodeci Freestyle,’ I said something highly offensive to people with Autism,” “Last week, when I first saw a comment from someone outraged about the lyric, I realized right away that what I said was wrong.
“I was instantly embarrassed that I would be ignorant enough say something so hurtful. What makes the crime worse is that I should have known better.” he concluded.
Drake later apologized in his blog and said it was a lesson for the both of them.
